Xeroderma pigmentosu: Xeroderma pigmentosum is a condition which makes people very sensitive to the sun (uv rays). It can cause severe sun burning & freckling of skin.  It is called xeroderma because it can dry the skin out and pigmentosum because there is added skin pigment.  It can affect the eyes and may be associated with a number of other symptoms.

No cure: As far as i know there is no cure for this disease.  The treatment primarily involves avoiding all uv exposure including sunlight.  It is a genetic disase and very rare.

Deficiency in some : part of cell  mechanisms that detect &amp; repair damage to  DNA molecules that encode their genome  occur in 5 inherited diseases: ataxia-telangiectasia (AT),  Fanconi anemia, Bloom syndrome,  Cockayne syndrome &amp; Xeroderma Pigmentosum (XP).7 different  mutant repair genes cause XP; types A, C, D &amp; E are on Chromosome 9q.22. Mutations in ATM genes cause AT. Groups A,C,D &amp; E are on Chromosome 11q2.

how do i know if i have xeroderma pigmentsum?

Genetic Testing: There are several types of xp (xeroderma pigmentosa) all of which are related to genetic defects in the ability of cells to repair dna damage causes by uv (ultraviolet rays).  Xp dramatically increases your risk for skin cancer. You should start with seeing a dermatologist and go from there.  If there is suspicion you may have the disease, genetic testing will be required to confirm this.

can balanitis turn into balanitis xeroderma obliterans. dont know if i have balanitis. had this for 8 months. did i wait to late circumcised at birth?

Balanitis: Typically cases of  balanitis don't persist that long. I would suspect a chronic disorder like lichen sclerosus especially if there's associated significant itching.  I recommend an evaluation by a dermatologist or urologist for diagnosis and treatment.

See below: Hypothermia, broken thermometers, poor measuring technique and hypothyroidism. Normal body temp really is about 98.2 although 98.6 is the "standard."  normal body temp may be a little lower for some, but i feel this is often over reported.

It's what they do: Peripheral nerves have primarily 2 functions: to send information out to the body from the brain and spinal cord, and to send information from the body back to the spinal cord and brain.  Sensory nerves do the latter -- and among the types of impulses coming into the brain & spinal cord through them, is painful sensation, heat, etc.  Emotional pain is an even more complex process.

Diet AND exercise: Make sure you exercise at least 90 minutes a day, don't skip meals, avoid soda, juice, dairy, alcohol and fried foods.  Eat a healthy well balanced diet! also water, organic vegetable broth, green leafy vegetables, natural pickles, apples are great to fill you up so you dont feel hungry and they are very low in calories. Being overweight can increase ur risk of hypertension, diabetes, sleep apnea.
