OK: A sub-conjunctival hemorrhage is not a contraindication to contact lens wear. However, in general, if the eye feels uncomfortable with the lens however, remove the lens until the eye clears up.

Almost never serious: Visible blood on the white of the eye is usually amused by  straining such as coughing, sneezing, straining to go to the bathroom or from straining at heavy activity. This type of bleeding on the surface of the eye is almost never from a serious medical problem. In fact, you may have just rubbed your eye too hard. Always have yearly physicals and eye exams!

In it?: If you mean you see red on the white of your eye (/sclera), that is a subconjunctival bleed, and is quite common. Any "overpressure" bearing down / cough / sneeze "can" cause it, and like any other bruise, it takes a few days to reabsorb. If you see red in your cornea (clear part) or are not sure, then best to go to er to get checked.

However, if bleeding is started for instance from trauma, blood dyscrasias, or blood vessel anomalies, then bleeding from these sources can be prolonged and exaggerated.  In most cases, the blood thinner should be stopped while the cause of bleeding is addressed.

No: A simple subconjunctional hemorrage  is usually painless.They sometimes occur randomly but usually with coughing,vomiting,rubbing eye or some other medical problem of trauma. Could  just involve the eye such as Uveitis or iritis with the symptoms described or something more involving the head.Best to see and eye doctor very soon as Uveitis needs treatment as soon as possible depending on the cause
