what is the definition or description of: radiesse (dermal fillers) allergy?

Calcium hydroxylapat: this is a SUSPENSION of a semi solid material known as calcium hydroxylapatite. It is a similar component to normal bone. It is suspended in a soulution of saline andglycerin and carboxymethylcellulose. The suspension medium is water soluble, and eventually absorbs. The material does not. It is  a long term deposition. If it develops an infection, it is difficult if not impossible to eradicate.

do i need an allergy test before getting radiesse (dermal fillers)? i've always had to get one before getting other fillers. a friend said the test is not necessary before radiesse (dermal fillers). is that right?

I : I would suggest that you either skip a month of facials, or get the Radiesse (dermal fillers) done within a few days of your facial and tell the person giving you the facial to avoid the area at your next facial. 
The product is pliable at first, so we can shape it when it is first placed. You should be fine with getting a facial a few weeks after the injections. But, to be absolutely sure, contact Radiesse (dermal fillers) and ask them.

Possible not common: While it is possible, it genrally softens with time particularly after three months. It is avoided in the lips for this reason.

Shouldn't.....: There have been no reports of either Botox or Radiesse causing a positive drug test.

I've : I've not heard of Radiesse (dermal fillers) injections causing permanent nerve damage.

The : The main concern would be if you were taking any blood thinning medications. Examples would be ibuprofen, aspirin, naprosyn, (naproxen) coumadin/warfarin, and plavix.This list isn't exhaustive. Radiesse (dermal fillers) is safe: Radiesse is a dermal filler for wrinkles and contour filling. It has a very good safety record but should not be used in the lips. A possible disadvantage is that it cannot be removed with an enzyme injection like juvederm and Restylane (dermal fillers) but this is not often needed. It lasts a bit longer than the other fillers.

Several months: On average, 9-12 months, but some may see greater or lesser results, depending on location, and placement by your doctor.
