Early failure: Premature ovarian failure is a loss of normal function of your ovaries before age 40. If your ovaries fail, they don't produce normal amounts of the hormone estrogen or release eggs regularly.

Trying to conceive?: If not trying to conceive: bone density scan, calcium, vitamin d, and hormone replacement with estrogen and progestin. We look for and treat any adrenal insufficiency. If you're trying to conceive, 5-10% of women with poi will get pregnant on their own after diagnosis, but if you truly have poi we don't have good fertility treatments using your own eggs. Egg donation or embryo donation are best.

Early menopause: Premature ovarian failure can occur at any age, but it is unusual immediately following pregnancy.  Regular menses suggest ovulation and a healthy ovary, but there are many causes of lack of menses after having a baby.  Included considerations are breastfeeding, polycystic ovaries (estrogen is produced, but no ovulation), another pregnancy!  pituitary failure (sheehan's syndrome) is a rare cause.

Kinda: If you have little to no estrogen from your ovaries you should not bleed at all. But if you have some in your diet or are overweight you may have bleeding so talk to your obgyn or endocrinologist.

Not HPV: Human papillomavirus (HPV) causes none of these things. If you have some sort of autoimmune problem plus HPV, they are unrelated to one another. Autoimmune problems usually have no particular trigger. If you have had such a diagnosis, discuss with your doctor and/or provide more details.

: Period flows can vary so if no other symptoms observe - it my go back to your usual. Do not worry about the things you mention as chances of that causing it are very small. Avoid going to the internet to seek answers for symptoms it is full of inaccuracies and would lead to catastrophizing. If worried see your MD/Gyn. I think you will be OK

Diet does not affect: Diet does not cause ovarian insufficiency.  Eating a well balanced , healthy diet is a good choice for everybody.

Non-functioning ovar: Ovarian insufficiency is a new term for what we used to call premature ovarian failure or premature menopause.  The ovaries stop responding to FSH stimulation before the age of 40.  This means no ovulation, low estrogen and menopausal symptoms.  The ovaries will sometimes turn back on again but nothing can be done to force an ovulation.
