Mylanta allergy: Mylanta is  an antacid  used in the treatment of  heartburn or  upset stomach. An allergy occurs when your body’s immune system creates antibodies to a foreign substance causing a reaction that can be mild to severe. took 3 teaspoons of regular strength mylanta before bedtime. woke up 6 hrs later with diahrrea. can this dosage cause diahrrea?  thanks.

Anti Acid : Mutants has Aluminum Hydroxide andMagnesium Hydroxide . It is probably the Magnesium Hydroxide that caused the Diarrhea .

i have had yellow-ish coloured stool for the last 3 days. ive been taking ppis and mylanta double strength chewables for the last couple months, can it be caused by them? what is this caused by? should i be concerned?

Given that your have taken PIs and Mylanta for several months I would follow up with  MD this week there may be a gallbladder  or celiac issues causing the  symptoms. A complete work up is appropriate. F/U w/ MD

i am taking the antibiotic cephalexin, is it fine to take antacids (mylanta) while taking the medication. will it cause any interactions?

: You are concerned that the Mylanta might trap some of the antibiotic and lower its effectiveness.  This is not likely with this combination.  To play it safe, take a 1/2 hour interval between the ingestion of the pill and the Mylanta.  That will guarantee that there is no cross interaction.

can gas cause 10/10 stabbing pressure pain in your belly, upper gastric & chest area area? took 2 doses of mylanta & protonix (pantoprazole) and pain has calmed down to a 4/10 level but still pressure in ug & chest

GERD: Your pain may be due to gastroesophageal reflux. See your doctor or a gastroenterologist for help.

Not sure of: WHY this happens but its QUITE COMMON,,What do you "take" for your bloating/pain??? Sometimes that's the reason.....

: There are no known interactions between these two medications. You could use them together. Good luck.

You should be fine: Looking them up in a database just to be super sure, there appear to be no significant interactions between regular strength mylanta and zoloft (sertraline). You might still get side effects from either medication individually but it seems you don't need to worry too much about a possible interaction.
