It depends: Depends on what you mean by early. Ewing's sarcoma is usually discovered once it causes symptoms like a mass or pain. It is almost impossible to catch it before then. If it is caught before it spreads, chances of cure are about 70%. If it already spread, the chances go down to about 30% or less. Each case is different though.

Often is: Untreated, or treated only by a charlatan, it is 100% fatal. Generally it requires chemotherapy. The odds in early disease are quite good, and even with metastatic disease cures sometimes happen.

It depends: Overall rate of event free survival, meaning the tumor doesn't return in the same spot or spreads somewhere, is about 70% at 5 years. It is a bone Cancer: Ewings has good treatments but they involve chemotherapy which has side effects. Radiation therapy is often used after chemotherapy. So it is all pretty involved and the patient goes through a lot of visits to hospitals and suffer the side effects of treatments besides loss of time from job/school etc. Your oncologist can explain all this to you if you ask.

No: I know no syndrome in which the two run together, but if they did both occur at a young age in the same person, i would suspect one of the cancer family syndromes such as li fraumeni.  If there was otherwise a strong family history, or the person wished to make a decision about parenthood, then a talk with a geneticist would be in order.

Well...pain...: ....But there are so many other causes for bone pain that i can't see why you would think it's an ewing's or any other sarcoma for that matter.  Not that it can't be but it's not likely.  See your doc and let him/her examine you and do x-rays if needed.  Hope it's all well.

Pain meds: Taking pain medications is helpful for leg pain from ewing's sarcoma as it will keep you more comfortable and allow you to perform you normal activities.  But it is important that you are getting treatment for the ewing's sarcoma.  If the pain is worsening then make sure to speak with your oncologist about the problem.

Not necessarily. : There are a lot of things that can give you abdominal pain- both physical and psychological abnormality/condition can give you abdominal pain, if you have kaposi's sarcoma and if you have abdominal pain- go to see your doctor and get yourself checked. Kaposi's sarcoma can involve GI tract and can give you different GI symptoms including abdominal pain etc.
