Maybe nothing: why did you have the scan done?  A stomach flu might give you those symptoms .  If having a lot of pain or other issues you could see a surgeon or GI MD to scope you and they can pass a camera into your duodenum to check

: Yes, the study is consistent with severe constipation causing  bowel distension and inflammation that will definitely cause pain and referred pain. Other causes, related or not to the described condition cannot be ruled out.

my recent ct scan says, "bowel structures: there is mild thickening to the sigmoid colon likely due to incomplete distention rather than colitis. there's no small bowel obstruction." should i be concerned? advise is greatly appreciated. thank you?

: To me the words say the radiologist thinks things are normal. The colon is like a balloon, the walls get thinner when it is completely full &amp; slightly distended/thinner when less is inside. I wouldn't over think it but you should discuss this with your doc.

i always (10+ years) had excess gas buildup. i.e. eating nuts. ct scan = non-specific gastric wall thickening. what could be the cause? report said "this could be related to inadequate distension but persistent clinical concern do endoscopy

Probably: you need the input of a gastroenterologist before deciding which way to go, an EGD, Esophageal Gastro Dudenoscopy or a colonoscopy may be needed, wish you well

No short answer: Everyone has some lymphocytes in their duodenum and as usual normalcy is a bell curve. And you can be on either end or even off of it, if you have a lymphoid follicle in the intestinal wall.
You need to talk to your gastroenterologist  and ask him if you need other testing and if you are not happy with the answer get a second opinion.

Mucosal thickening: Mucosa is the lining of the inner lumen of the bowel.  The duodenum and jejunum are the first two segments of the small bowel.  Thickening of these tissues can occur with a variety of conditions.  It is not clear from you question if this was seen on ct or you plan to have a ct to "verify" its presence.  Generally this may be followed up by endoscopy, referred to as egd.  See a gastroenterologist.

Not known!: Just like many other Cancers in people, the exact cause of your Cancer is not known. One way to look at is  why do some people get sick and others remain well without having any serious illness. It may be just a matter of chance or bad luck.
