7s surgeries for my back/nerve pain.  i have a  scs unit and also a pain pump which was found faulty aft 21/2yrs should i get it fixed or meds?

Fix pump?: It depends on how well you think your pain was managed when the pump was working. Unless it gave you very significant relief i probably would not advocate to have it fixed. I would have a conversation with you pain doctor about realistic expectations.

could borderline diabetes cause nerve pain in my upper back?

Mononeuropathy: Possibly but unlikely. Neuropathy particularly affecting isolated nerves usually is associated with more severe long standing diabetes and may not be all that painful.

i have no gallbladder, what causes nerve pain in ruq ? can it be something pinched in the back, ribs etc ?

See your doctor: The pain can have numerous causes so it is best to see your doctor who can take a more detailed history and a physical exam and testing if needed to determine the cause of your pain.

i had singles in my head back in july 2018.  i never to this day been free from nerve pain in my head.  it causes an inside the top of the head and forehead to itch like
wouldn't believe.  any suggestions of what i can do?

Pain specialist: Please consult a pain specialist. There should be more than one in Boston. Post herpetic pain lasting longer than 3 months warrants get a specialist to evaluate and treat.

Thoracic nerve pain: The nerves that go to the chest area come from the THORACIC spine and give bands of feeling to the chest: nipple area approximately T4, bottom of the ribcage approximately T8. There are many causes of pain along the thoracic nerves, including SHINGLES which is a viral outbreak, disk herniation, vertebral or rib fractures, costochondritis even benign or malignant tumors. Neural Tension Sx: Nerve pain is the most disabling pain one can get. The nerve pathways go right to the brain. They say if you look at a nerve funny you will have 9 months of symptoms. The reaction of the body to pressure against a nerve is immediate and intense. Typically, neural tension develops in the spine from a bulging or herniated disc. Mri is crucial to look at the anatomy and nerve conduction testing.

Need good exam: Si doesn't cause electrical shocks just dull ache that occasionally radiates to the groin, piriformis syndrome may, but the most common reason is lumbar disk disease. See your physician.

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor and discuss if you may be depressed. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated.

Not likely: The gluteus muscles don't impact the spinal cord enough to cause discitis symptoms. If you have nerve symptoms you should see your doctor.  Could be you have a disc problem from working out too vigorously. On the other hand over extended glutes can cause back pain.
