Different idea: I think that you would be better of applying zinc oxide every time after you use the toilet. No sex until the area has healed

Burn: You may Develop  a first degree burn from very hit water. Unless you're allergic to the ingredients, you can apply Bacitracin zinc ointment or cream, but follow the directions.

No and no: I&#x27;m sorry you got a burn. You&#x27;d do well to turn the water temperature down in your shower, but the heat exposure isn&#x27;t going to give you cancer. If you have a simple, visible burn, simple first aid is sufficient, otherwise simply keep the area clean.

: It is likely infected. Apply triple antibiotic cream, available over the counter. You may use Band aid on top of the ointment, to prevent trauma to the affected area.

i was successfully treated for clyndamicin caused c diff 6 years ago. i managed to avoid antibiotics so far, but now i was told to treat small self-limiting infection in my nostril with otc bacitracin for a week. is this safe for me? thank you?

: should be safe. It might be a good idea to have a culture of your nose for bacteria. There are other topical anti bacterials and you might need to know exactly what type of bacterial infection you have. See your doc to have a culture taken.

is bacitracin the same as neosporin?

No: Bacitracin is only one ingredient in neosporin.  Neosporin is a topical antibiotic that contains neomycin, bacitracin, and polymyxin b.  As long as you are not allergic, you can use them interchangeably.

Maybe-: If the pimple is caused by a streptococcal bacteria, yes. If it is caused by staphylococcal bacteria such as community acquired methicillin resistant staphulococcus aureus ( ca-mrsa), or most other types of bacteria to cause boils, then no.

No: Backtracking is for gram positive bacteria and vaginitis is caused by other bacteria and yeast infection. You need a slide and culture done with an exam.

Unlikely to help: The most common cause of penis itching is a fungal infection which can be treated with topic antifungals such as clotrimazole.  Bacitracin kills bacteria so it's unlikely to help at all.   Of course, without a picture it's hard to tell what it is.

General rules: The medications in lotions or ointments that you apply to your skin are not absorbed into the blood to a level that would effect the breast milk. As long as you are not using it directly on the feeding surface this is fine.
