Blood teat: A simple blood test can measure the level of Aspirin in someone's blood.  Then by taking the time the Aspirin was swallowed, a determination can be made as to whether or not there is a serious overdose.

LIver failure, death: Acetaminophen (found in tylenol, (acetaminophen) excedrine, and many over-the-counter and prescription medications) is safe in standard doses, but highly dangerous when overdosed.  Liver failure severe enough to require liver transplant to continue to live can occur, as can death.  No prescription or over-the-counter medicine should ever be taken above prescribed/labeled limits.

No: Although any drug, if not used and monitored appropriately, can cause potentially serious side effects, even death, these medications and the doses you are taking are very safe at your age.

PFO with or without: ASA is a congenital abnormality. You were born with it/them. Your docs must have told you that. If they didn&#x27;t, they were remiss, but they must have, but for some reason you feel guilty anyway. This is one of those cases where I WOULD have recommended a web search for more info. Right axis deviation: Electrocardiographic right axis deviation which is increasing over time associated with an ASD can indicate right ventricular dilation. If the ECG is a one point in time measurement, then its reliabiltiy as a predictor of right heart enlargement is less. Discuss with your doctor. Measuring shunt with echo is an easy way to evaluate the ASD. Sometimes a TEE is needed.

See my earlier post: RAD means that the electrical impulses arising from the right ventricle are abnormally strong and suggest that your ASD is volume overloading and overworking your RV. AS I said earlier, you need the left to right shunt quantified by echo and corrected if &gt;1.5:1.

Need a work up: you need to see a doctor to get an appropriate history and do testing to make the diagnosis for the low saturation

had once-off prescription oxycodone for severe headaches. worked well. depleted, can't afford another rx. asa causes diarrhea. pcm not work. ulcer, no nsaids.

Opiates no go: Chronic opiate use is not recommended for headaches.  You need to see a neurologist for a through discussion of your treatment options.  There are wide range of meds available depending  on type of headache.

could low dose asa therapy cause you to bruise more easily and to develop purple spots on skin? i am also on hrt and lotrel (amlodipine and benazepril) for hypertension.

Yes: That is a common effect of low dose Aspirin due to the inhibition of blood platelets. If your hypertension is well controlled it can still happen but is more likely if not controlled.  As one gets older the skin gets thinner and capillaries get more fragile and tear easier which makes these bruises appear more often.
