YES: It is perfectly safe to take prenatal vitamins any time until menopause (after menopause it is best to avoid taking vitamins with iron). Most prenatal vitamins are well-rounded multivitamins. I am happy to hear they have helped your allergy, consider adding extra vit. C (1-2, 000 mg 2x/day) extra b5 (500 mg 2-3x/day) and consider trying stinging nettles extract and quercitin as well.

Bolus and infusion: 0.75 mg/kg IV bolus over 2-3 min, may repeat in 30 minutes. Maint: 5-10 mcg/kg/min IV infusion. Recommended total daily dose, not to exceed 10 mg/kg

Fragrance "allergy": More details please. Are you saying use of a household aerosol scent was associated with upper respiratory symptoms? Many find fragrances quite irritating and trigger rhinitis. It can be very specific; patients have told me only certain perfumes or colognes bother them - after I point out that I notice they are wearing fragrance during the office visit. If other, let us know.

Depends ...: It's a little hard to answer without knowing the symptoms you developed..Where you live...Have you had changes at home(ie. Got 3 new cats or?). But, anyone can develop allergies at almost any age. Depending on your symptoms there are good over the counter medicines to try(allegra, zyrtec, nasalcrom, (cromolyn) zaditor)..But always read the labels. Tough answer: Both dogs and cats can cause allergy problems. If one does not have problems around dogs and cats now then it probably ok to get a dog or cat. If dogs or cats cause problems now then it would be prudent not to get a per.

Contact allergy : Many types of makeup can cause a contact allergy.  Get this evaluated by an allergist or dermatologist that does contact allergy patch testing.  Alternatively switch to a different brand and see if this prevents problems.

Hard To Say: More information would be helpful.  The best treatment is avoidance, but if you are not taking a medication for allergies, pre-medicating with an OTC antihistamine like Allegra (fexofenadine) or Zyrtec could help.  Don't touch the dogs if you can help it.  See an allergist and they can help you explore other therapies including immunotherapy to desensitize you to dog.
