No: Exposure to cats does not cause pneumonia.  However, many children develop allergies to cats.  Exposure to cats for allergic children can cause skin rashes, itchy eyes, and runny noses with sneezing.  Children with asthma and cat allergy may have increased asthma symptoms or even asthma attacks requiring urgent care when exposed to cats.  Cat exposure includes visiting homes where cats live.

Depends: Several factors here.  I usually never recommend it if the family is attached to the pet, but if it is causing severe symptoms, you should sequester the animal out of the bedrooms and living spaces.  Then make sure you thoroughly rid those areas of cat dander as it is a potent and tenacious allergen.

Mgt: It is possible depending on the type of bacterial cause. Routes from animals to humans include inhalation of aerosolized droplets and saliva.

Yes: It can exacerbate eczema in a child that is predisposed to it. Meaning it doesn't cause it, but it can make it worse.

Cat hair: You are putting your whole family at risk to develop either allegic rhinitis or asthma by having the cat in the house.

Avoidance: Since there is a genetic risk, avoidance of exposure may be helpful. If your children have eczema, discuss an allergy referral with your pediatrician. Immunotherapy may be indicated depending on symptoms.

Usually, no.: Only safe, "generic" answer is that you should decide this in conference with your gyn dr after an assessment. (and your partner, of course.) as women pursue advanced degrees and career standing, pregnancy is routinely falling into the 30's and sometimes 40's. It's what is safe / healthy for you.
