if i have nodes or masses on my renal glands, could they be cancer?

Possibly: Renal refers to kidney and not gland. Adrenal refers to gland and not kidney. Nodes are lymph nodes adjacent to a kidney lesion and next to an adrenal carcinoma.  A CAT scan can define the actual site of the problem and if in the kidney, angiography can note if surgery indicated.  A well defined adrenal lesion that is not functional is usually a benign adenoma and can be followed.

Orange size?: i presume you do not mean color but size. The thyroid is not a very large gland to begin with. If it is a cyst then a colloid cyst is common.  There are other cysts much less common. If solid then there are many different causes.  Goiter as well as hyper plastic nodules look like that. Much more needs to be said about those findings. At that size, talk to your doctor for more information and next

Parathyroid glands: ...are located on the back of the thyroid gland. ("Parathyroid" literally means next to the thyroid) They are usually benign, but often secrete parathyroid hormone. This can symptoms from very high blood calcium levels, often before the gland is noticeably enlarged.

Possibly autoimmune: Heterogeneous texture is an ultrasound description of thyroid tissue that looks irregular, as if there are many small nodules.  This is a common finding in people with autoimmune thyroid disease, such as hashimoto's thyroiditis.  It is important to make sure that thyroid function is normal.

my wife had a thyroid ultrasound and showed heterogenous echogenicity, hypervascular thyroid gland.no masses or nodules. any thoughts on what this is?

Could be Hashimoto's: Is the gland normal is size or enlarged?  If normal-sized, could be hashimoto's.  If enlarged it could be grave's disease, both of which are autoimmune diseases.  She should find out if she's hypo- or hyperthyroid and have additional testing to see if she has hashimoto's.

No problem: If it found only fat, not an outpouching of intestine, you can ignore it. Sometimes having all this advanced imaging capabilities gives us data we don't need.This is one case where it did. If you have lived to adulthood with this hanging around doing nothing, it will continue.

Ultrasound: You need a physician examining your mouth and your parotid gland an ultrasound or and Ct scan can evaluate that gland

Adrenal mass: :Can  be adenoma, myelolipoma, cyst, lipoma, pheochromocytoma, adrenal cancer, metastatic cancer, hyperplasia, and tuberculosis . More than half of are benign/  hyperfunctioning adenomas  need evaluation . Pheochromocytomas     are associated with hypertension. rarely could be a cancer but that is in less than half the cases. f/u w/doc

having mri/mra of neck, carotid, and posterior fossa - will it show masses in the cerebellopontine angle, jugular, vagal, vestibular schwanommas, etc?

Head and Neck Masses: Mri uses large magnets to create images of possible masses. Mri is a related technology that images blood vessels to look for blockages or aneurysms (ballooning).  While there are some more specialized tests to look at certain areas, in general, the answer to your question is yes.

i don't have enough room to ask properly. i attempted to iv meth into my interior jugular. unpleasantness followed. was it the carotid or a gland?

Meth injection: First injecting anything into the neck is not smart and is extremely dangerous.  If it is injected into the carotid it can cause a blockage and a STROKE!  Even if it is injected into the jugular it can cause a reaction and result in blockage which also can cause possibly fatal reactions.
