is it ok to open the cymbolta capsule and take the medication inside? i have had a gastric bypass and can not take capsules.

Accepted Answer

Not recommended: I usually write for liquid formulations with gastric bypass patients. Capsules are ot recommended because of the surgery. Ask you prescriber for a liquid or of a similar drug.

taking amoxicillin500 mg instructions 1 capsule 3 times a day as directed for 10 days ive been taking the medication around 4 hrs apart depending when i wake. pamphlet states should be at least 8-12 hrs in between. how can that work? any risk?

: Three times a day would be every eight hours (24/3=8). The pamphlet states 8 hours apart.

im on pill, id like to try falling pregnant. other than leaving the pill altogether are there any medications i need to take?

Preconception Care: I recommend that prior to stopping contraception, you consult your ob/gyn physician.  Preconception counseling and planning is critical to evaluating you for risks of complications and taking proactive steps to reduce those risks.  Once this evaluation is completed and you are educated, prenatal vitamins are often started and they can reduce risk as well.

Tremor: Pill rolling is a tremor characteristic to parkinson's. Drugs causing extra pyramidal adverse effects such as antipsychotics, some ssris, are such examples.

is there a pill or medication i can take to possibly prevent any stis?

Accepted Answer

Not really: Some antibiotics can prevent some STDs, but to prevent all common bacterial STDs would require at least 2 or even 3 different drugs. Even these would not prevent the 2 most common STDs, herpes and HPV. And taking multiple antibiotics brings a whole bunch of health problems. Therefore STD prevention relies on wise partner choice, safe sex, and early diagnosis &amp; treatment, not prior antibiotics.

is there a medication you can take with  diabetics and colustrol medicine  in one pill    thanks ?

Diabetic: Diabetes is a term that should be used by younger folks  who are short on diabetes.
At you age you most likely have type 2 diabetes but you are not a diabetic.
You need to keep your calories down and your exercise up such that over time you will be rid of diabetes.
Proper diet and exercise is what you need most.
You must also work to get your cholesterol down.

Not reliable: And potentially toxic. There is no other method which would insure infertility. All the best.

if i take a medication pill then have diraheea about 20 minutes after would the pill come out as well when i use the bathroom?

Accepted Answer

No impact.: If you have diarrhea right after taking a pill, that pill would be in your stomach.  Diarrhea is an intestinal phenomenon, having nothing to really do with stomach contents.  So the absorption of the pill at that moment would be unaffected by having diarrhea.

Need more info!: Which cough medication? Which pill? Check drug-drug interaction checkers at www.Online.Epocrates.Com and www.Drugs.Com. Better yet, as your pharmacist and/or prescribing doctor.

No: Hi. No, it will have no effect. I suggest you talk with your doc or our good friends at Planned Parenthood to find an acceptable form of birth control so you don't need to rely on Plan B too often. Good luck!
