Get Evaluated: You should really be evaluated for any reason your heart or lungs may be causing this.  Other reasons can include reactive airway disease and just plain being out of shape.

Swallowing Air?: Insufficient info, but sounds like you may be swallowing air when eating and drinking. If stomach is full of air when breathing it will cause discomfort (diaphram must go down to breath in and puts pressure on dilated stomach until you burp. Simplest answer!  Other factors may be present, seek MD attn. Until then make sure you are not breathing in as you swallow.

Most likely: Depending on the activity you are performing might be your endurance to tolerate it and how your airways respond.It also depends on how advanced is your lung condition.If the COPD is in early stages you might still have some adequate capacity to tolerate exercise.If the condition keeps progressing you might notice how your endurance starts declining with time. If you smoke stop to avoid worsening.

Can't breath: If you are having acute difficulty breathing - recommend immediate medical attention. If this is more of a chronic problem with relatively less difficulty breathing, it is not likely as urgent.
