No : The itch may last a bit longer as there may be some inflammation that has not completely resolved ; give it a week or so.

If you haven't had a: Yeast infection before - have it definitively diagnosed by your physician or gynecologist. Over- the- counter medicines for yeast infections include: micon 7, monistat, vagistat, (tioconazole) gynazole, femcare, gyne-lotrimin; mycelex.

Weeping wound: You can stop the weeping by covering it up. The best cover would be a vaseline gauze right on top of the surface of the wound with 2-3 sterile gauze squares piled loosely on top to soak up any fluid that gets through the vaseline cause. Then cover the whole bandage with either tape or an ace wrap. Change the dressing every 24-72 hours depending on how much drainage accumulates.

Vaginal discomfort: There could be many causes of your symptoms.  Are you taking antibiotics for the infections?  If so, you may not be targeting  the infection that is causing the symptoms. Not necessarily: Candida (yeast) infection is usually a matter of balance between the yeast and the body's defense mechanisms.  If the yeast are winning, the itching gets worse.  If the body is winning, the itching may disappear.

i took a hvs and the result showed candida and staphylococcus. i do not have symptoms for any of these my discharge is normal and there's no itching or smell. does that mean the infection isn't serious and does it need to be treated?

: The candida, though not symptomatic, should be treated with Fungal Vaginal Suppository which the Doctor who did the HVS can prescribe.  More importantly, men tend to be asymptomatic carriers of chronic candida so  if one is sexually active the man should see the urologist or get oral antifungal Rx. The Staphylococcus is most likely a contaminant and may not require treatment but check with the Doc

Interesting question: Since candida represents at least 5% of the dry weight of every humans stool, I would suspect you have it like everyone else. It is a well known cause of diaper rash in babies, thrush &amp; vaginal infections. It is not some boogey man germ that causes great harm. You must have read some weird stuff to think it is.
