No, nor is it good. : I tried an ear candle in an ear packed with wax. It burned down, i blew it out, and there was the wax inside the candle. I looked in the ear and the wax was still there. I repeated the same process with the candle in a glass of water. The wax result was the same. The wax was from the candle itself. Ear candles are a neat parlor trick but not a medical device. Don't waste your money.

Your guide book, embassy or hotel desk staff should be able to direct you to an English-speaking clinic or hospital in the area. If not staying at a hotel, you can call a US-chain hotel in the area like Hyatt or Hilton for suggestions, as they usually have English-speaking desk staff.

Find the email or mailing  address or phone number associated with your subscription and contact them for cancellation and hopefully a refund.

Not enough info.: Of course, i hope not, but depending on the country of origin, safety standards while being made, etc. Anything could, theoretically have carcinogens.  Cigarettes, for example, are legal to purchase and we know they're carcinogenic.
