from nothing noticed at all in early stage to the worst possible misery and pain and breathlessness!
weight loss , cachexia, cough, bleeding, drowning in sputum, are all possibles.
With spread, bone pain anywhere and paralysis can occur.
Do not smoke!

: I know of no evidence, and I used to work at the CDC, that what you were told about shot.  No matter what shot it was. Ask neighbor for where to find those reports. They are false until proven other wise. Direct her to our own COVID-19 information at our web site or to CDC.gov. Unless they got injected with thyroid cancer cells, and I have never heard of this, it is coincidental.

Not all the same: Cancer is a general term used to describe the uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells.  Prognosis varies depending on the cancer type, it's location, how large it is, where it invades, and if there is regional or distant spread. Different cancer types respond differently to surgery, radiation, and systemic therapy. Patient age, co-morbidities, and performance status also impact prognosis.

Some cancers: Dogs can be trained to sniff out some cancers like melanoma, but it is not a reliable way to diagnose cancer in general.

: Smoking is a well-established cause of cancers, especially within the lung, and chronic alcohol ingestion can provoke numerous problems.  However, due to biological and genetic variations, some humans are far more resistant to these negative outcomes than others.  Proper diet, regular exercise, and management of emotional upset, coupled with avoidance of alcohol and tobacco may be most prudent.

No real answer: No on knows what really causes malignant brain tumors.    There are clearly genetics which can be part of the story.  There are probably also linkages to environmental exposures, etc....But not have been teased out.    There's been a lot of stories about cell phone use....But that has never really been shown to be linked to tumors - we haven't seen a dramatic increase over the alst 20 years.

Statistical fluke: Healthy people with low cholesterol don't get more cancer.  This is a statistical fluke of some studies.  In some studies, people with low cholesterol or vit d have an occult cancer, or are smokers, or are too skinny (due to their illness), and then these people tend to show more cancers later.  Statistical associations can be misleading and do not prove cause-effect.

We Don't Know: While we have made strides on the treatment end, we still struggle to understand the "why". What we do know is that 85-90% of cases occur in people with no known hereditary risk factors. We also see links with high (unopposed) estrogen states (early menarche, late menopause, no children or late-in-life, obesity).

Need to ask your ono: Your oncologist can help. Anemia can be caused by blood loss(which is common in patients with cirrhosis(GI blood loss due to varices).
Poor blood formation is also common(Anemia of chronic disease). Blood transfusion can help the pateint. Keep Hemoglobin near 10 Grams.
There is some treatment for Liver cancer that could be tried(the medicine is called Nexavar(Sorafenib)
