But they vary in their effectiveness depending on which organ is the source of cancer. Not knowing the details of the history i can not be any more specific. Please pose this question to the treating oncologist.

: A negative FIT rules out bleeding in the colon. It makes colon cancer less likely but does not rule it out. It rules out polyps even less. Unless there is a family history of early onset colon cancer, you can wait to get screening colonoscopy at age 40-45. If there family history of colon cancer, get colonoscopy 10 years sooner than the youngest at which a relative had cancer.

Taking chemo for breast ca can stop ovarian function, thereby stopping estrogen, and heavy withdrawal bleeding can occur. See your gyn for a possible D&amp;C .

Q: is it a standard procedure to stop oral meds for patients with severe vomiting? my mom died 4 days after being taken off her heart meds while being treated for pancreatic cancer caused vomiting.

Vomiting: I am sorry for your loss. Yes it is sop to stop oral meds when vomiting. It is useless to give oral meds in such a situation because they would be immediately vomited. It sounds like your mother was in the last stages of her illness.
