Most likely: Since you say it was your first use,  and you are presumably healthy, then most likely it will be cleared from your urine by January 8.  It is usually detectable for up to 5-7 days .  Chronic use of Valium results in a longer detection window, between 4-6 weeks.  It is long acting and has a half-life between 20-80 hours, depending on the amount and the ability of the body to clear the drug.

i heard about drug cut off levels. does it mean that a person can take a drug like diazepam and still test negative for a drug test if the drug level in the person's body is not high enough to be detected regardless of the time he took the drug?

: This depends on the sensitivity of that test. Some can detect trace amounts of a banned substance, some tests would only detect it at a higher level. Drugs vary in their "half life" or the time it takes for 1/2 to be eliminated through metabolism. Some have a half life of a few hours or less, I can think of one with a half life of 22 days. It can take 4+ half lives to fall to undetectable.

Benzodiazepines: This is the most likely drug tested to have a wide variability, even more than Marijuana.  It is stated on some sites on the internet that your drug of choice will test positive for one week, but it could be as long as eight weeks.

Depends: There is always a range and tests may vary considerably in their sensitivity and specificity, but diazepam is expected to be detected up to 7-10 days from last dose. Concomitant use of other drugs may increase further the detection interval. Best will be to declare use prior to test.

The general term: benzodiazepines refers to a class of medicines used to help with anxiety, sleep, and sometimes seizures.  Diazepam is a particular drug in the class.  While most of the members of the benzodiazepine class are gone from the body in a few days, the specific drug diazepam (also knwn as Valium in the US) hangs around much longer.

PT: A neck "strain" usually means you have torn some of the muscles that are in your neck holding your head up and in position. Like any "strain" initial immobilization in a neck collar allows the muscles to heal without re injuring them.
