Yes: most of the time oral or genital herpes resolve on its own in 10-15 days. however if you are immunosuppressed  or on steroids long term then meds may be needed

Not by medication: Not by medication.  But, your body could kill the virus if it does not make it to hide some of it in your CNS.

Extremely rare: Such widespread herpes is extremely rare, and occurs only in people with advanced immune deficiency or certain skin conditions, such as widespread eczema. If you are generally healthy, there is no chance you have widespread herpes.

This is unlikely to happen unless a person has an extremely weak immune system (ie. Hiv/aids).
