NO!: Vaginal bleeding in pregnancy is never normal and must be investigated by an obstetrician on an emergency basis! never use tampons in pregnancy as serious infections (MRSA) and  even lethal outcomes can occur!

Possible: Its possible you are pregnant (though not certain).  Do a pregnancy test and find out.  If you begin to have abdominal pain, see your doc even if your pregnancy test is negative.  Best wishes!

See a doctor: The urethral opening (pee hole) is anatomically very close to the vagina and is actually inside the labia (lips) so you are probably normal but to be sure you need an exam.

Pregnancy unlikely: Having a normal, regular menstrual period means a woman is not pregnant. If a period was unusual or weird, and one is worried about pregnancy, one can do a home urine pregnancy test 3 weeks after sex. The tests are very accurate 3 weeks after sex or later.

Lots of options: You will need to see your obgyn for an exam and testing. Depending on your age and fertility plans there are lots of treatment options.  Birth control pills can regulate your cycle. Mirena (levonorgestrel) iuds can minimize your periods. Lysteda is a great new hormone free drug used to stop heavy periods. If you are done with  pregnancies ask if you are a candidate for an endometrial ablation.

No: If you had a regular period after unprotected sex, then it is a very safe assumption that that instance of sex did not lead to conception and pregnancy.  Implantation bleeding (bleeding at the time of a brand new pregnancy) would be unusually light and is typically just a bit of spotting if anything at all.  Rest assured that an abnormally heavy period would not be implantation bleeding.

Pregnancy?: Birth control is not 100% - any time there is a question get a home pregnancy test.   If you were recently on antibiotics this may make the birth control ineffective.

Unprotected sex: Possibly. Unprotected sex can lead to pregnancy. Get a pregnancy test if your menses is late.
