You should not: Temazepam should be use only for short term. If used longer will produce dependence and requires increasing in dose to obtain the desire effects. Going to a 60 mg dose indicates that you are taking it for some time. Go to a psychiatrist to obtain help on decreasing benzodiazepines. General physicians tend to overprescribe benzodiazepines.

That is an: Extreme dose and should not really be taken.  It is twice the highest recommended dose.  So the answer is no, it is not ok to take.  But that's just my opinion.

Very drowsy: In my practice, the average dose of Restoril (temazepam) is 15 - 30 mgs at bedtime.  Depending on a multitude of your personal health factors, you may get a good night's sleep, you may sleep for 24 hours, you may be extremely drowsy the next day. A lot also depends on what other medications you are taking.

can i take gaviscon with zantac and ativan?

Anxiety, GERD, Ulcer: Ativan is for Anxiety.

Zantac is to treat and prevent ulcers in the stomach and hyperacidity. 
Gaviscon is for acid indigestion and heartburn.

Due to possible tolerance with Ativan and lack of improvement, Discuss with Psychiatrist: 
•Diagnosis of Anxiety
•Tolerance with Ativan
•Therapy for stresses in your life
•Medication
•Breathing Relaxation
•Visual Imagery of National Parks
•Meditation.

Accepted Answer

Yes: But if your symptoms are severe enough, it would be a good idea to consult a gastroenterologist.   Both drugs do the same thing in suppressing acid and you are just doubling up on the drug by taking both together. Do note that zantac (ranitidine) may cause diarrhea in some people.

Yes...: Zantac is indicated for treatment of heartburn and indigestion.  I'm assuming the second drug you mention above is xanax, (alprazolam) which is a medication for for anxiety.  There is no interaction between them so they could be taken together if you wanted to.

Yes: I often have patients take proton pump inhibitors like Dexilant (dexlansoprazole) or Prilosec in the morning and zantac at night.

Not necessary: These drugs are in the same class and usually are not taken together...
