Probably: I see no specific contraindication to using both products at the same time. The lack of specific reasons why you are using these makes advice on use a bit hard.

See GI MD: 5 days is just too long for "indigestion". The possibilities are numerous but include ulcer disease and gallbladder issues for starters...

Many work: The one that works for you.
Try each of these and see which one works well for you.  Some folks prefer tablets like Tums (calcium carbonate) and rolaids while others prefer liquids.
Try them all out. They all work.

OK Together: But theoretically the Prevacid (lansoprazole) will work better if it's taken on an empty stomach, before eating, and not with a medicine like Rolaids.

Plenty of liquids: Colonoscopy is a unique event and remember that the preparation is very important. Follow the directions on your particular bowel preparation and remember to drink plenty of clear liquids.
Role aids are permissible.

started zpak this morning, it's evening and i have horrible heartburn, can i take rolaids?

Yes: You can take Rolaids now. Tomorrow take your pill with food in the morning (but not with any dairy products, like milk, ice cream, or yogurt, which can affect absorption).   Take Rolaids 30 minutes before and 1 hour after that meal and as needed during the day. Avoid caffeine and other spicy foods or those that usually give you heartburn, too.  Hopefully it will not bother your stomach this way.

is it okay to take rolaids in between my morning and nightly dose of zantac (ranitidine) during pregnancy? just taking zantac (ranitidine) alone doesn't seem to work.

Depends...: What are you treating? If just indigestion, then antacids consumed 1 ; 3 hours after a meal and at bedtime may be helpful in the majority of patients, but may be too high a dose for a pregnant one. Don't know what your zantac (ranitidine) dose is either, ; perhaps with consent from your obstetrician this medication can be optimized. Stick with gerd diet and behavior restrictions (see prior healthtap answers.

Yes: Rolaids are ok, they can cause constipation. They also have children's malox. Use sparingly and if u give them a lot  try to figure why all the upset stomachs.

can rolaids cause kidney stones? my son takes 2 a few times a week lately for acid and kidney stones run in the family... i worry that he should not take them, what can he do to prevent them? advice needed?

: Chances of getting kidney stones in this scenario are close to nil. He should drink plenty of water and see his doc foe cause of acidity and treatment in light of family history
