Scabies: Scabies are mites, not worms. They create tracts under the skin and are very itchy. 2 treatments, 1 week apart is best and washing all linen. Make sure everyone gets treated. All the best.

itching sores, swelling bumps, feeling of hard to see bugs are crawling on my skin. however, the bugs are not out all the time, they hide sometimes. i know that it might sound crazy but its like they can mask the way they look. its not scabies! help!

Itchy rash: Full medical history and physical exam, vital signs, review of any medications/allergies. Pregnancy test. Sometimes pregnant women get PUPP. This sounds like it may be an allergic reaction which can be intermittent due to exposure to the allergen, either food, detergents, plants, dyes. If you have shortness of breath call 911. Otherwise see MD some blood tests, steroids, antihistamines. Exam ASAP

Direct skin-to-skin contact is the mode of transmission..thres just no way around this one.  A severe and relentless itch is the predominant symptom of scabies.  A contact that you had likely didn't know they had scabies and passed it along to you.
