Could be a Hernia: Unclear what you mean by "it moves around". Hernias manifest themselves as bulges that often "yo-yo" in-and-out depending on activity.  However, a hernia does not "float" or move from one location to another.  I have a simple way for you to get to the bottom of this--please see your primary care doctor or gyne for a formal exam and possible surgical referral. Good luck!

Rib: Hard to know from the description. You may need a Ct scan to be able to tell whats going on. Check it out with your doctor

Don't worry it not: It is part of healing process if mesh is used area feels hard for few wk , go to your surgeon for post OP visit. Umbilical cord will not come of uterus to get into hernial site

3 weeks ago i had an open inguinal hernia repaired with mess. after 9 days i noticed a rather large lump just above the scar. it is tender all the time  but if i sit or drive it is very painful. i can move my scar away from the lump so they are not attach

See ur surgeon: May be seroma (collection of fluid) or recurrance of hermia.  You need to be seen

i have a hard lump in my groin near the base of my penis. everyday i feel like vomiting, my entire body aches. i am always fatigued. pain is worst at groin/lower ab/stomach region. it is better when i move, worse when still/flat. i suspect a hernia??

Probably okay: You are in the early stage of recovery – only one month out. Suture material and/or mesh are used in your hernia repair. You should not be able to feel the mesh, but you may be noticing tissue reactions to the underlying suture material. This should go away over time as the sutures absorb. Usually takes 12 to 16 weeks. Be patient and follow your doctor's directions.

Maybe: A single groin lump could be a hernia; or it can be an enlarged lymph node, a tumor, or even an infection.  More than one lump in the same inguinal area (groin) is not likely to be an inguinal hernia.  One's doctor can examine this/these and determine what it/they are.

Hernias don't come: and go, but lymph nodes do. See your Dr and see if you have enlarged lymph nodes in your groin, and why.
