Yes: While most would eventually have symptoms some do not.As many as 1/3 of males and 1/2 of females have no symptoms with chlamydia. Gonorrhea is more likely to be symptomatic but it could happen.

Ex partner with STD: unfortunately both Chlamydia and Gonorrhea can have few if any symptoms in women.  I applaud you for using a condom for protection.  It would be in your best interest to get checked for these diseases.  This can be done simply by a urinalysis these days.

Abstain sexual acti,:  Avoid sexual encounter until you finish recommended treatment.  Your partner should be treated properly as well!

Chlamydia and GC: Untreated these infections can last for years, yes. But one risks the chance of a disseminated infection that can be difficult to treat.  Thus regular testing is key along with treatment for any exposure--even if the test is negative is a good public health practice for stds.

Maybe/maybe not: The symptoms of either disease can vary in intensity from almost nothing to disabling pain. Some persons can carry &amp; pass either &amp; not know they have it. If you are sexually active it is reasonable to get screening for both done every 6 months or so depending on your activities. Screening tests for both can be done on urine specimens if requested. It does not show on a routine urinalysis.

Not too many: The two conditions can be remarkably similar.  Gc usually presents with more pain and purulent discharge, but have seen the same thing with non-gonococcal urethritis, usually due to chlamydia.  Guessing is nowhere as good as being diagnosed and treated appropriately.  And would you believe you can have both simultaneously.
