The latter: Based on a last menstrual period of 12/10, your average date of conception would be on or around 12/24.  That would put the pregnancy at 9w and 5d.  This doesn't sound like the date of conception as it's off by more than 5 days (it's off 2 wks, actually).  If conception was on 1/7, then you would be 7w 5 days, so more likely it was the second encounter that lead to your pregnancy. Hope that helps!

No: This is a common myth.  Birth control failures do occur, but common antibiotics do not increase the risk of failure.

Depo and pregnancy: The package insert for depo mentions that it will work for 3 months - (12 weeks) but the insert  mentions 13 weeks.     Other literature mentions effectiveness over 12-14 weeks.      Now  from a practical point  -  its best to keep on a schedule  - every 12 weeks.    However if you are a day late you are likely still protected.   Hope that helps

Maybe: These work by maintaining a relatively constant level of hormone in your blood that blocks egg release. No egg= protected.  When the hormone level falls enough the body will revert to its baseline fertility &amp; eggs may release. You may have a safe interval or not, so a backup form of BC is reasonable if it matters.

Can take 12-18mos: While Depo-Provera provides reversible contraception, it can take 12 - 18 months to regain your fertility after stopping it.  Start prenatal vitamin and be patient.  See your clinician if unable to conceive after 18+ most of trying.  Take Care!

Question unclear but: One can get her Depo-Provera after 11-12 weeks, and not have to wait for the 13th week. Depo-Provera is usually scheduled for every 3 months (that's 13 weeks, but getting the next shot at 11 or 12 weeks should be ok too). Life is never exact, so the level of protection gradually drops (not predictable) after 13th, 14th, or 15th week. Just schedule each next shot at 12-week intervals, if worried.

is it possible to get pregnant on the depo shot if i have may miscalculated when my shots were due ? i have been felling emotion lately , nauses ,etc.

Yes: No birth control is 100% effective and it is possible to become pregnant on all of them (but highly unlikely) However, if you have gone longer than the 90 days between deep shots then it is not effective at all and you are not on any birth control.  Please take a pregnancy test if you are concenred and see your provider.
