i'm on ciprofloxacin and metronidazole but keep getting a fever. are these suppose to lower my temp?  if not what will get rid of high temp for good?

Couple of days: After one dose, the majority of Cipro (ciprofloxacin) would be removed from the body after about 24 hours. If the Cipro (ciprofloxacin) has been taken twice a day, it will take a couple of days.  The "half life" of Cipro (ciprofloxacin) is about 4 hours, meaning that half of the drug is gone after 4 hours, then half again is gone after another 4 hours, etc.   This is different if a person has kidney disease, then it takes much longer.

when is it okay to get back in the sun after finishing ciprofloxacin because i just got off of it and i am wondering when i can start going back in the sun again?

: Half life = 4hrs (drug concentration declines to half of initial value in 4 hrs - IN BLOOD). Pretty much gone from blood in 12-16 hrs. Perhaps double that in skin.

Bottom line - risk of photosensitivity probably gone in 1 day.

my second day on 500 mg of flagyl and ciprofloxacin and i just vomited after taking the medication this morning. is it too high of a dose for me?

Adverse reaction: Both ciprofloxacin and Flagyl(metronidazole) can cause nausea and  vomiting, but it's more often a side effect of Flagyl. Try to contact the Dr who prescribed it to see if there is an alternative medication. Sometimes taking medication after a meal can reduce this side effect. Consult your physician for specific advice.

did i get orchitis again? 2 months ago, had orchitis(only orchitis.) presc 4 weeks cipro (ciprofloxacin). took 3 pills felt better stopped. came back, finished dose ?

Possibly.: If you stopped you antibiotics after only 3 doses; you probably did not eradicate the infection. It is important to take antibiotics as directed and until the course of therapy is completed. You should get re-checked by your physician.

Stop the medication: If your developed major digestive disorder from the dose of Cipro (ciprofloxacin) you were taking, the first thing to do is stop taking it. I am guessing you likely weren't taking it for long and you should be fine.

: Neither epididymoorchitis nor the drugs you are taking cause weak erection. It might be a psychological reaction to having genital pain. Were you tested for STDs? Gonorrhea and chlamydia are the most common causes of epididymitis at your age; and ciprofloxacin is ineffective against chlamydia and often doesn't work for gonorrhea either. Discuss all this with your doctor.
