Couple of days: Sounds just inflamed. Would just treat it conservatively. Sitz baths, stool softeners and over the counter anesthetic creams. In rare cases it may be a thrombosed (clotted) hemorrhoid. If so, these will last longer and can be incredibly painful and my require evacuation of the clot

Here are some tips t: A few tips to help you.
There are 3 things that you can do to relieve your pain.
Take a pain medicine like Paracetamol every 6 hourly till the pain is gone(2-3 days).
Use Sitz bath(Sit in a warm water tub after any BM. This will keep the anus area clean.
Use local application of an anti-inflammatory cream containing Hydrocortisone(Consult your GP also to verify which medicine is best for local app

Yes: Internal hemorrhoids are derived from normal anatomical structures called anal cushions. They are located just inside the anal canal, and help to prevent the leakage of stool whenever abdominal pressure is increased. If the cushions become stretched out or irritated, they are called hemorrhoids. Excessive coughing increases abdominal pressure, leading to hemorrhoid formation.

Yes and stop cough: Hemorrhoids are little outpouchings of blood vessels in the anus that occur when there is high pressure against blood return from that area.  Such a situation occurs with pregnancy, straining at stool and with any other cause of raised intra abdominal pressure ouch as a protracted cough. Treatment is to stop the pressure / cough, use warm sitz baths, topical low potency steroids ( prep h ), time.

Coughing/hemorrhoids: Intense and prolonged coughing may create recurrence of hemorrhoids, but having swollen groin lymph nodes is not a usual consequence.  If you are unsure of the cause of the rectal/anal pain, it may be herpes virus , not hemorrhoids causing the lymph node soreness.  See your gyn provider for an exam and testing to find out.

Tincture of Time: Acute flare ups are typically self-limited. If there is a thrombosed hemorrhoid this too will also go away althought you may end up with a tag of extra tissue. Repeated flare ups can lead to a prominence of extra hemorrhoidal tissue that will not go away and may need surgical intervention. 
Avoid constipation and use good bowel habits. No reading on the toilet.
