Even if you are taking antibiotics, you can still get infected with a viral infection like influenza.  Getting a yearly flu shot can reduce your risk of getting influenza including the H1N1 strain.

Strength of an antibiotic is a rather subjective thing as it depends on which bacteria you are trying to treat. For example, Penicillin is very effective for Strep Throat but will not treat most skin infections. This doesn't make it any weaker an antibiotic that Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) which would treat both.  Just different.

Depends: Most antibiotics you take are out of your system within days. You can look at the number of times a day you have to take a pill and then try to realize that it must be washing away if you have to take it multiple times a day. Since there are so many different antibiotics I can't give a specific answer, but usually after 5 'half-lives' the antibiotic is totally gone. Twice a day? -&gt; gone in 2 days

Depends of half-life: The half -life (length of time for half of the med dose to be metabolized is differernt for different meds. Many medications can be dosed once a day, other are generally given 2 or 3 times a day -based upon the half-life. Few antibiotics would be in your system more than 24hrs.
