outside the body, does sperm have to dry out before it dies or can it still be wet/moist after 8-12 hours outside the body and still be alive? i know drying kills it but i was not sure if it would also die with time even if it remains wet/moist?

: Sperm only lives in an environment that is conducive to its existence, the female vagina or if frozen. In a hot tub or warm pool, where it is wet and moist, sperm dies in 3-5 minutes. One can still get pregnant in a hot tub or pool, if there is penetration and ejaculation during sex.

: The wetness would trigger the soap to dissolve &amp; form a solution that invades and neutralizes/kills the sperm. No matter how often you ask this question the answer will be the same. Quit obsessing over it or take some stress management classes.

And the odd to conceive under such scenario should be almost zero. If worrying about pregnancy, do HPT soon after missing the regularly expected period and repeat it in 1 wk if the 1st is (-) and still in doubt. Ask Doc timely..
