There is a powder form of azithromycin, intended to be mixed with water or juice. It&#x27;s still bitter, but you can get it down quickly. Or the oral suspension used in young children. : Milk will not prevent absorption of the azithromycin.  See your GYN physician for guidance, as chlamydia may cause scarring in the Fallopian tubes which may cause difficulty in conceiving.

: Cannot see any major problem, but would not use grapefruit juice as theoretically can affect absorption and metabolic reactions in some cases.

Probably OK but...: ...maybe not necessary. The pills are not timed-release, so crushing won't affect absorption or effectiveness against infection. But if you're one of those folks who have difficulty swallowing pills, speak with your doctor or clinic about the powder version of azithromycin, intended for mixing with water and then drinking.
