Need more info: It is possible to have the above  symptom with yeast infection, this could also happen if certain types of condoms or spermicide are used (allergic reaction).

forgot to change sanitary pad, woke up w painful splotchy rash on labia majora rash is now itchy/peeling. not sexually active. is it yeast infection?

i want to understand what are the causes of reoccurring yeast infections? i keep myself clean daily. every time i have sexual intercourse with my husband i get a yeast infection.

Possible causes: Yeast infections are due to a fungus called Candida which is normally found in the vagina. However, if there is a lack of healthy vaginal bacteria it can lead to overgrowth of yeast. Some causes of overgrowth: antibiotics, ^ estrogen (pregnancy or some birth control pills), malfunctioning immune system, diabetes mellitus as well as friction against vaginal tissues (intercourse) and douching.

Not likely: However any significant change in the vaginal acidity or bacterial balance can promote  yeast overgrowth.

Use no oils at all: No oil of any kind should be used in the genital area. If you need a sexual lubricant. a water-based product is much better. None cn cause yeast infection, however.

Yeast infections: Vaginal yeast infections can be transmitted from female to male - usually in the males case, they are uncircumcised. Candida needs a damp, dark place to establish itself and circumcised males do not provide that opportunity. Symptoms include itchiness and white discharge. Treatment for the male involves an antifungal like nystatin/lotrimen ointment and good hygeine.

No: But it is important to find out why you have the problem. You should be checked and have a blood sugar to rule out diabetes.

Now: In the US, the usual pattern starts with first sexual activity or by age 21. HPV strains differ in their effect on your system. The pap smear is one way to monitor the effect of related strains. The genital wart strains would produce visible warts on most infected persons.  HPV would not be a common cause of  cycle changes or yeast infections.

Possible, but...: Hwy and how did you get metronidazole? If after professional evaluation without testing, one could assume you were empirically treated for yeast-related vaginitis. If not helpful as expected, be rechecked so to decide if your symptoms are related with trich, which could be verified with microscopic exam of vaginal fluid smear. Besides, most of STD-related infections could have no symptoms. So....

is it possible to actually get frequent urination in yeast infection? if not, could it be a symptom that now it becomes pid. if woman us not sexually active?

Not yeast. UTI?: Yeast usually doesn't cause frequent or urgent urination. STDs can do so, perhaps resulting in PID -- but not possible if you have never been sexually active. Urinary tract infection is most likely. See a doctor or clinic soon.
