i have a hemorrhoid. im experiencing a crawling sensation that feels like a worm moving. mostly at night. sometimes randomly in the day. i did the tape test and the dr ruled out worms. is the crawling associated with hemorrhoids? what causes it?

: Yes it is. At night the attention is drawn to it for in the day time other distractions keep your attention away. Avoid constipation, use  otc hemorrhoid ointment at night and after bm. If not better in a week or so pl get checked. Good luck

Hemorrhoids vs worms: A hemorrhoid is a enlarged vein at the anus or in the lower rectum. Internal hemorrhoids are deep to the anus. External hemorrhoids are outside of the anus.  A hemorrhoid is a bump that can cause pain, bleeding and may be itchy. Pinworm  are intestinal parasites (enterobius vermicularis).   Symptoms can include gastrointestinal upset, anal or vaginal itchiness, loss of appetite, difficulty &gt;.

Hello. : Hello. Hemmorrhoids are like sacs and can feel squishy (or even hard if there is a clot inside). They can become quite painful and they can also cause anal itching. It isn't the best idea to squeeze hemmorrhoids as you are injuring the skin.  Hemmorrhoids contain blood. They can swell up (like if you have lots of constipation) or they can shrink down over time.  I recommend that you see  your family doctor who can properly diagnose your conditions and provide you a number of options for handling this.   When hemmorrhoids become really problematic people may see a general surgeon for help. Take care.

there is white sesame seeds when i wipe after passing stool i also have ibs hemorrhoids no appetite and more problems could it be worms i took one dewormer pill a couple weeks ago but i haven't seen any?

: I assume you are not having a quarter pounder with a sesame seed bun. Or using them is salads etc. ibs and hemorrhoids are not linked very much.  Need to know where you like to see if it is likely you have worms that can be seen in stool.

Straining to have BM: When the stool is small it requires more effort to pass. This bearing down effort to move stool is what causes the dilation of the hemorroidal veins. With chrnoic straiingn during bowel movement the veins get weaker and weaker and dilate more. A high fiber diet makes large soft stools that are easy to pass and hemorroids less likely to form.
