i had my wisdom teeth out in july. have had a reacuring abscess in the lower right side. keep getting like strep throat as well since. is this all con?

Same : Use ibuprofen, naproxen, or Acetaminophen in prescribed doses and intervals. Check with your oral surgeon to be sure there are no surgical contraindications to doing so.

Cold Symptoms: Runny nose, cough, and fever would not be caused by the eruption of your wisdom teeth.

  Sounds like classic infected wisdom tooth which requires extraction. Would believe partly erupted due to symptoms. Immediate visit to dentist. Take antibiotic and pain pills and have tooth removed at your convience.

Inflammation: The gingiva in that area which is in close proximity to your throat became inflamed and subsequently swollen. As the infection subsided, so did the inflammation.

Yes: If your lower wisdom teeth are impacted and you have a condition called pericoronitis which is a localized infection of the gum surrounding the impacted wisdom tooth, then that infection can spread toward the back and give you pain in your throat.

Bad taste: Without knowing the taste description, it is harder to be specific. However, any strange taste often suggests infection. Especially after a tooth was removed and if you suddenly notice a strange taste or drainage in throat, please see your oral surgeon/dentist to rule out infection, as it is easier to treat it sooner than later. The bad taste may come from surgical dressing in the socket, possibly.

It is a possibility: Check with the pharmacist and or the dr that prescirbed the medications. You may need to switch.  You might be experiencing the beginnings of an allergic reaction to the medication.
