Supplements : Since the FDA doesn't investigate supplements, most physicians are unfamiliar with them and are reluctant to ok their use. Supplements have been known to have contaminants, other unknown medications, interaction with prescription medications,etc. Your pharmacist may have more information for you.

No effect: Vitex is a Chasteberry vitamin. It will not affect an ovulation test. If you are not having regular cyclic periods then you may or may not be ovulating consistently

Clomdi and herbs: It sounds as if you didn't ovulate or that you're pregnant.  I suggest seeing your gyn.  The negative issue with doing Clomd for 4 cycles continuously is that the drug is retained by your body, and the 4th dose is higher than you expect.  You may wish to consider another ovulation inducing medication such as letrozole.

Ok: It's okay to have your cycle be off by a few days, which this sounds like it is, if you're bleeding 4 days before your period is due.
