Vertigo?: Dizziness associated with the sensation of spinning generally is referred to as vertigo.  Vertigo is divided into central vertigo and peripheral vertigo.  A common cause of peripheral vertigo is inner ear infection, which is usually viral and self-limited.  Central vertigo can be more complex, including serous problems like brain tumors.  Some medications cause vertigo.

Not likely: Vitamin d deficiency is wide spread as are hair loss and dizziness but are not related. If you are deficient in vitamin d you should take an over the counter vitamin d supplement.

Accepted Answer

Not known to happen: Vitamin d deficiency is common. Many people are taking extra vit. D and drinking more nonfat milk to correct that problem. Blurred vision is also a common symptom, but is not related to vit. D (researchers are still studying vit.D). Many eye problems can cause blurry vision, so a person should be seen by an ophthalmology eye doctor. One should not try to fix his own vision by just taking vitamins.

Anemia: Low hemoglobin levels can cause the above symptoms. Get your hemoglobin level checked. If the hb is normal then other causes can be worked up for your symptoms.

Accepted Answer

Should not: Sugar cravings can be a possible sign of candida overgrowth, or adrenal fatigue. Dizziness can be due to hypoglycemia which can also be a sign of adrenal fatigue. See your doctor and get checked out. Make sure you are not diabetic.

i am vitamin d deficient and i do take vitamin d. some days i feel fine and have energy and other days i feel tired, drained of energy and dizzy when i stand up. could this be caused by vitamin d deficiency?

: Very easy to check for Vitamin D levels via a blood test, which your doctor can order.  Fluctuations of type you describe is NOT due to Vitamin D levels, as this is a fat soluble vitamin whose levels are fairly consistent day to day.  Have your doctor evaluate this also.

17 year old boy, ive been getting dizzy every while and feel tired during most of the day. i have a big vitamin d deficiency. could that be the cause or is it a myth (that low vitamin d makes you feel tired / dizzy? (no other known condition?

: Would definitely supplement Vitamin D-3, and recheck level in 3 months (aim for 50-70 ng/ml).  There may be additional deficiencies, and might want to check B-12.  Anemia is also possible.  Discuss fully with your doctor.  We may be able to help here at HT.

Inadequate intake: is the most common cause , rarely absorption problem also. Recently more and more have Vit D  deficiency , as people are avoiding exposure to sun . Body can not  synthesize  Some even call &#x27; cancer preventing vitamin , as its levels are low in cancer patients . Vit C need , fresh citrus group is the best natural source , try to supplement and see the results.Speak to your doctor

: It could be MS but may be a manifestation of tension or anxiety or deficiency of calcium or magnesium.. The brain communicates with the skin and can sometimes cause this type of symptom. If you still have concerns, consult a neurologist for evaluation.
