Yes if...: If you are taking your pill everyday, then yes you are protected against pregnancy. The pill prevents your ovaries from releasing an egg. It can also help regulate your periods. It is common to experience some irregularities at the start of taking bc pills. If problems persist, ask your doctor to switch the script to another formulation.

Pregancy and bleedin: It is possible to still be pregnant even though you have bled for about 4 days. However, early pregnancy bleeding colud also be a sign of miscariage or spontaneous abortion. You will need to go in for a pregnancy ultrasound asap. Observe a pelvic rest and no sex until bleeding stops.

Yes: If a pregnant woman (has a positive pregnancy test) has  vaginal bleeding, she should contact her Ob-Gyn doctor. Depending on how far along in the pregnancy the woman is, and how much bleeding is happening, her doctor may ask her to come in for an evaluation. If she has bleeding from somewhere other than her vagina, she should contact her primary care doctor or go to an Urgent Care or an ER.

See Doctor ASAP: Heavy bleeding during early pregnancy can be a sign of a threatened, inevitable or complete abortion or ectopic pregnancy. Please seek medical attention asap for a gynecologic exam, labwork and transvaginal ultrasound.  First trimester spontaneous abortions are relatively common, so do not despair. It should not prevent you from having a future normal pregnancy. However, please get evaluated asap.

Unlikely: Bleeding means the lining of the uterus is no longer capable of holding a fetus. If still in doubt get a more reliable pregnancy test in a formal lab

Yes: You could definitely still be pregnant.  You should see a doctor and get a blood pregnancy test called beta HCG and an ultrasound if that is positive.

Unlikely: If what you're saying is that you had a positive pregnancy test.... and then after that test you had 3 days of bleeding and then you took another test and it's negative, then likely you aren't pregnant anymore.  You can take a confirmatory test (I'd wait 3-5 days), and make sure, but sounds like you miscarried.  See a physician if you're worried or bleeding continues for &gt; 7 days.

Bleeding: If you are bleeding heavily and may be pregnant it is necessary that you see a doctor for examination as soon as possible.  This is of great concern and you should be seen asap. If you can see a doctor, then go to er.
