Influenza vaccine: Flu shot side effects may include:  slight swelling, redness or pain at vaccination site.  If headache, nausea, fever or  muscular pain occur they usually resolve within one to two days.  You won't get the flu from a flu shot because the virus either contains inactivated virus or doesn't have virus particles in it. Severe side effects are rare. Don't know which nodes were swollen. Might not be due

Likely no: Swollen lymph node are first response from you body to fight the infection, while in your case is flu. Cough drop would be unlikely to make it worse, the infection itself would be the reason. Drink plenty of fluid and rest, keep a good hand hygiene. You should recover in several days, otherwise see your doctor. Good luck!

Not flu: Flu season is over and it is not likely that you suffer from influenza or flu. However, your symptoms are suggesting a viral infection and I suggest seeing your physician for further testing and recommendations.

Any viral infection: Can cause non-specific inflammation of lymph nodes, some being notorious. If the inflammation or swelling of the lymph nodes is one sided and not symmetric, alternate causes may account for the swelling.

Many: Enlarged lymph nodes often indicate an immune response to a foreign invaders (viral, bacteria etc) and are not specific for any disease.  If persistent , they may indicate the presence of leukemia or lymphoma as well .

Flu: You should have fully recovered from the flu by now. Your current neck symptoms are nonspecific. A physician could examine your neck and order any appropriate tests,if deemed advisable, in order to make a diagnosis.

Lymphadenopathy: You can have enlarged lymph nodes without fever.  There are numerous reasons why they enlarge, most commonly because they are doing their job and fighting inflammation. This does not have to be accompanied by fever.  Best.

Virus but: Depends on the duration. If these symptoms have b een present for less than 10 days and are getting better, then they are likely from a cold virus.  If the symptoms have been present for more than 10 days and are getting worse, then you likely have a bacterial sinusitis.
