i am hypothyroid and taking medication from past 15 years. thyroxine sodium 62mcg. can i use ground flaxseed? if not can i use flaxseed oil?spirulina?

With thyroxine: I'm not sure if you're wanting to take the listed supplements instead of thyroxine (no) or with your thyroxine (yes). Essentially, if your thyroid levels are in the good range, you can take anything that someone with a normally working thyroid can take. Because different docs have different opinions, it's always best to check with your own doc, and make sure s/he knows exactly what you're taking.

can flagyl cause hypertonicity & limbs/face numbness as side effect? was also taking percocet, benedryl, phenergan, (promethazine) synthroid, & klonopin w/no issue.

Rule out alcohol: Flagyl can cause a build up of a toxic substance if taken with alcohol.  The alcohol can be consumed or can be assimilated by hand washes, mouth washes, etc.  The toxic build up would be my first guess as to the reason for the side effects noted.   With a pharmacist or online you can search for known side effects of Flagyl (metronidazole).

M: Thyroxine is a synthetic form of thyroid hormone. Although doses vary the dose of 100 mcg is not extreme. The medicine does not usually cause muscular symptoms. Suggest your physician evaluate the complaint and evaluate the appropriate dose.

tsh low 0.059-my dr. said not to take my synthroid (thyroxine) on sunday's. what are symptoms with low tsh? leg cramps ?training for 5k/ any precautions to take?

Hyperthyroid: Some symptoms of hyperthyroidism are: feeling nervous, fast heartbeat, weight loss, feeling hot, trouble sleeping, feeling anxious, sweating heavily, muscle weakness, increased appetite, frequent bowel movement...Some hyperthyroid patients will have 1-2 symptoms, some have all of them and some have none of them at all.

taking colace 50mg for constipation with amiteza and synthroid (thyroxine). legs ache and muscles hurt in lower legs  what can i do and why is this?

Amitiza (lubiprostone) &amp; thyroid: Amitiza (lubiprostone) can cause joint pain. How long have you been on this med?
When was the last time your thyroid was checked? If real recent, was the blood work normal? Hypothyroidism can cause muscle spasms&amp; joint pain even neuropathy type symptoms in the limbs.  Drinking tonic H2O or club soda, which contains quinine; eating 1Tbsp mustard, or drinking apple cider vinegar may help muscles w/o prescription.

i have hashimoto's and hypothyroidism, my anti-tpo is 822, tsh is 0.8 on 150mcg of synthroid (thyroxine). why do i still suffer from night sweats and leg edema?

Probably not thyroid: Looks like your hypothyroidism is being properly treated.  The anti-TPO antibodies will stay high for a long time.  I don't see how your symptoms are related to the thyroid.  Suggest discussing this with your doctor.

what are possible causes of redish brown freckles like spots on my lower leg and ankles?

Stasis dermatitis: This could be small drops f blood in skin. This can come from varicose veins. If however they are of recent onset they could represent a condition called vasculitis which is an allergic reaction to a drug, or possible underlying infection. Either way see a doctor for evaluation. It is difficult to remove the color of changes from varicose veins.

Unclear question: Thyroid deficiency in a newborn is serious enough to seek care to make sure that brain development occurs normally. Once you see your doctor for thyroid treatment, please address any other concerns that you may have.

my left knee has been tingling and warm all day (6ish hours) off and on. kind of feels like pins and needles but not painful. what could this be? 
not on any meds besides synthroid. no injury, was a lazy day.

Knee: Although no specific injury the knee can get irritated from routing activity.  Irritation between knee cap and knee common. This can cause some degree of effusion and swelling which can explain the tingling. Try a conservative action such as cool compress and perhaps an NSAID. Should improve. If persistent worsening swelling redness or fever get evaluated with Healhtap provider or your own.

cluster of tiny flat spots like freckles under skin on thigh, started reddish and turned light brown. is this cause for concern re skin cancer?

Spots: It's difficult to state with 100% confidence or accuracy without looking at an individual lesion, however if there is any change in size, color or shape of any lesion especially any new lesion which was not present before, it is important that you visit a dermatologist for further evaluation as it may possibly need a skin biopsy to rule out skin cancer.
