Overdose of Vit B: can caused increased urination but haven't heard of urinary incontinence. Vit B complex overdose Sx's: nausea/vomiting, loose stools, abdominal cramps, ^ thirst, ^ urination, blurred vision &amp; skin flushing. Don't worry: A very generous amount of riboflavin, which is fluorescent, is put into b-vitamins so it will make the urine shiny and people will be impressed with their medication.

It depends: Urine normally is yellow/amber, turns dark yellow while we take vitamins but it all depends due to combination of other foods ingested along with water which dilutes the urine.

Vitamin B complex: B vitamins r water-soluble; body uses what it needs & eliminates excess. Many of these pills have yellow coating (tartrazine) which may be responsible for the urine color along with vitamins b2 & B12 & c. Nothing to worry about unless having pain/burning when urinating.

kind of an odd question but if you take a water solvable vitamin supplement and it doesn't seem like you noticeably pee it out (b vitamins for example turning your urine deep yellow) does that mean your body used it all?

Urine Coloration: While vitamins like B, C and others are excreted in the urine, B vitamins are best known for enhancing the yellowing of urine.  However, a lack of coloration is not an indication of a deficiency/dependency.   A good balanced diet is the best way to maintain healthy levels of vital amines.  Extra amounts of B/C vitamins are harmlessly excreted.  Be careful with A, D and E as they can accumulate.

i've had 2 ua's show blood in my urine, but with no growth within a 4 month span. my urine also smells like vitamin b complex, but i only took it for 1 week last year. i also seem to have issues emptying out my bladder completely?

: Further work up will be needed for hematuria or blood in urine. That includes many times imaging, such as CT scan and ultrasound as well as possibly cystoscopy in trying to directly visualize the bladder. Your current doc remains your best reference in trying to coordinate further work up as needed.
