Accepted Answer

No.: They might be caused by holding your breath or yelling or other physical exertion but stress alone shouldn't cause them.  If you have veins in your chest showing for no reason - see your doctor.  This may be a sign of a deeper blockage such as superior vena cava syndrome.

One concern: If your physician has any reason to think you may have a tumor or blood clot obstructing your superior vena cava, ultrasonography is indicated.

Anxiety: Most of what you mention can result from an anxiety disorder.  After seeing your doctor to rule out or identify medical conditions, please see a mental health professional to learn stress management.  Peace and good health.  Qigong and yoga can be good self-help techniques.

Prominent veins: Prominent veins are normal in light colored/pale people. Veins can be hormone sensitive and bulge and cause pain during your cycle. Unless they become &gt;2-3mm and painful i would ignore them.

Chest pains = ER: Although you are young, you never ignore chest pains. You need to rule out all causes. Get yourself to the hospital now.

Normal finding: I am amazed about how often I have women ask me about the veins on their breast.  Occasionally they are spider veins but mostly they are blue veins.  These are almost always normal findings and normal variations of chest veins.  They tend to be more pronounced in fair skinned females and they may be related to hereditary factors or even pregnancies.  No treatment is necessary unless for cosmetics.

Accepted Answer

Veins: A fair number of women have a visible vein on or near the breast.  If the vein is close enough to the skin it will be visible.  It doesn't mean anything is wrong.  These are more visible after pregnancy often.

i have just tested positive and am on day 7 after exposure. i show no symptoms except feeling on chest that i am not sure is stress or a symptom. can i nebulise to help the feeling? and will i still show heavy symptoms after i am still okay at day 7?
