have cervical dd & spinal stenosis. extreme neck pain & now i feel swelling on back of my neck (left side only).  is the swelling common? treatment?

Should not get: swelling from disc herniation and stenosis alone.  It could be a deep infection, so it is best to see a doctor for evaluation.

i have lumbar spinal stenosis, but now i get pain in my upper left thigh and it travels down my leg. is this from lss?  no swelling or lumps.

Possibly: Spinal stenosis can cause your symptoms especially if you also have a bulging disc at that level. Epidural steroid injections  and/or treatment with some medications may improve your pain. I would suggest consulting a pain management physician.

spinal stenosis for 2 yrs. ..have developed slight bladder and bowel leakage.  lots of trouble walking.  wondering if it is worse.

Spinal stenosis: Yes you are describing what is termed "neurogenic claudication" - this means the stenosis is getting worse. I would see a back surgeon for further evaluation

have pain in left groin &hip aggravated by sitting.  have spinal stenosis severe in l4'l5.  started 20 days ago after long car ride.  can back cause?

Yes: Yes sitting long periods of time can inflame a lumbar region that as severe spinal stenosis.  The pain in your hip and groin can be from aggravated nerve roots.  You can try McKenzie Back exercises.  If it doesn't resolve, then seek medical evaluation.   Back pain that causes numbness around rectum, foot immobility or bladder incontinence needs immediate attention.

almost constant twitching in left calf and some in right. i have mild lumbar scoliosis with hypertrophy and spinal stenosis. could this cause this?

Twitching: How long has this been going on?  It may be ok.  It is a common symptom.

Twitching could be caused by some changes in your back, in particular if there are changes around S1, which is a common site for stenosis.

What is more important- are the calves strong?  Do they seem like a normal size?  If you can stand up on your toes/balls of your feet, it may be ok.

can l4-5 spinal stenosis + left sided herniation cause muscle spasm in both legs? why do i feel weakness in leg as it twitches?

It is possible: One can get sciatica as a result of herniated disk typically  on same side as disk bulge but stenosis can give bilateral symptoms.

got x ray results. basically discs are wearing down leading into spinal stenosis? not really sure whats going on. im young and fit, what could cause this?

: You don't mention what your symptoms are. I'm not sure that wearing down of intervertebral discs leads to spinal stenosis. The discs would have to herniate and press on the spinal cord to do that. I recommend consulting a neurosurgeon to assess your symptoms and your MRI findings.and advise you.

Yes: Spinal stenosis is a condition where arthritic changes in the spine cause narrowing of the spinal canal and outflow tracts of the spinal nerves. With time, continuing pressure on the nerves or spinal cord can cause pemanent damage. However, many cases of spinal stenosis can be successfully treated with medications, injections, or surgery.

Possibly: If severe enough to cause compression of the lumbar nerve roots (specifically l2, 3, 4) this could cause difficulty with normal arousal reflexes, including erection.

It can cause nerve: Spinal Stenosis can cause  nerve  compression and even damage. Technically it can cause nerve  damage  and not neuropathy. Your neurologist can clarify
