i have to have a b12 blood test review. i just had a b12 injection. what will happen if the blood test results show my levels as normal?

having cholesterol 236 mg/dl ldl 140,hdl 59 .i want to try to lower ldl with stenols supplements 3x 800mg tablets a day trying it over few mths then have a blood test to check levels with exercise and good diet.are they proven to work peer reviewed?

: It may lower your total cholesterol but I am not sure how much these supplement can bring down the bad cholesterol LDL. Why are you willing to take 3 capsules a day which costs more money than a single tablet of statin and its effectiveness has been proven by studies, especially you already have at least 2 risks for coronary disease: man and above 50, unless you have serious adverse effect(s)?

please can you review.rbc 5.62 hgb 15.3 hct 47.3 ferritin 88 mcv 84.2 mch 27.2 mchc 32.3. medication pregabalin, tamsulosin, atrovastatin and lexapro. levels have dropped since last blood test. anemia?

: Your bloodwork appears normal, not consistent with anemia. Slight variation up and/or down in such values is to be expected and repeating blood work should clarify.  Your current doc remains best to place in context as it seems that you have different conditions being treated as well.

: I assume you had total thyroidectomy and you are on thyroid hormone replacement? Anti-Tg antibodies are detectable in as many as 10 percent of the general population and 20 percent of thyroid cancer patients. Thyroglobulin (Tg) values obtained in the presence of anti-Tg antibodies may not be clinically reliable for follow-up after total thyroidectomy for thyroid cancer.

is it normal to feel tired after a blood test?  what should someone usually do if this happens?

No: The typical blood test (meaning just test for blood cell count) draws only a few mls of blood which is almost immediately replaced with no impact. You may be tired beecause of something else (if this was the first time you had blood drawn from you, your level of fear or anxiety could have caused you to feel tired; rule out other causes first)

Challenge test: Other than watching to see what happens after you drink caffeine, no blood or other testing is available.

Anemia: Two labs are checked routinely, the hemoglobin and the hematocrit . Sometimes one's iron levels are also checked. That is not routine. The first two labs are completely adequate for evaluating whether someone is anemic. Good luck.

Antibodies: Ab is a common abbreviation for antibody. This is a very broad area, so it is difficult to know the answer without more context-- it could be looking for antibodies to blood groups, to a possible current or prior infection, or possibly to some sort of specific antigen in your own body, an "auto-antibody".
