Usually PostNasalDrp: Usually post nasal drip.  Your sinuses (allergies, infection, hyperactive) drain mucus down the back of your throat
causing irritation to the throat.   There are also other less common causes.

Food intolerances : Food intolerances can elicit hyper secretion as well as swelling in the tissues which will make any mucous more noticeable.  Reflux also commonly causes an over production of clear mucous a full stomach is more likely to cause problems.  Anytime it feels "hard to breath", anyone! will feel a certain level of anxiety.  If prone to it, yes, this will likely exacerbate things even more.

: Depending on what medications you are taking, the meds can cause your symptoms. In general, be sure to take your medicines with plenty of liquid so the pills don’t sit at the back of your throat. Esophageal reflux (or GERD) is also a common cause of your symptoms so, if the symptoms persist, see your doctor. You may need to see a GI doctor for diagnosis and treatment. Best of luck to you!

Yes: The a.m mucus sample is usually concentrated and thus may look yellow. IN the presence of a sinus infection, the mucus (when present) should be consistently yellow or green.

Yes: A sore throat is a general symptom of many conditions,  If there is even a remote suspicion that you may have rabies you should seek immediate medical treatment.  Sore throats are much more commonly seen as a  symptom of viral sore throat, strept throat and allergic conditions
