Possible Fibrin clot: You may have passed a old blood clot. See a gynecologist as soon as you can to rule out other causes.

Aspiration: Even small quantities of fluid or food can cause the airway to become inflamed, infected or reactive. If you are still symptomatic I would suggest a Pulmonary evaluation, including PFTs and a Chest radiograph.  Weight loss may or may not be related.

i have builders in home and there is this thick layer of red dust everywhere, i cleaned it and after that i cleared my throat and there was brown speckles in mucus.  when i blew my nose it was red from dust as well. will the dust cause the mucus?

Yes: The dust is an irritant, so,the body seeks to trap and remove it from your system. Consider wearing a mask, asking your workpeoole to use vacuums on their equipment, or hanging plastic sheets to contain the dust area during work.

i take a few medications can it cause throat problems like burning, thin veil of transparent mucus or redness or could it be something else. there is no coughing or hoarseness but mucus in throat makes it burn. tyvm for your time?

: Depending on what medications you are taking, the meds can cause your symptoms. In general, be sure to take your medicines with plenty of liquid so the pills don’t sit at the back of your throat. Esophageal reflux (or GERD) is also a common cause of your symptoms so, if the symptoms persist, see your doctor. You may need to see a GI doctor for diagnosis and treatment. Best of luck to you!

Red mucus: Was it your own or someone elses. if your own need to find our why it is bloody. If from someone else ask if they have HIV.

Mucus plug: The mucus plug for lack of a more elegant visual looks like a ball of snot with some blood mixed in with it.  A woman can lose the plug before onset of labor or even during labor.

Snot: The mucous plug is a big wad of snot. Think of "boogers" coming out of the nose. It can look very different from person to person and even from day to day. If you feel that you are bleeding or that you have broken your water then contact your doctor for evaluation

Hard to say.: Red colored mucus may be something benign such as a superficial blood vessel opening up when you blow your nose.  But it could more serious and could represent an autoimmune disease such as wegener's granulomatosis.  You need a rhinological (nose) exam with an endoscope to make an appropriate diagnosis and proper treatment.

Conjunctivitis: This may be caused by conjunctivitis or a nasolacrimal duct obstruction. If persistent beyond a day or so you should see your pediatrician.
