i am male 21 years old. i tend to forget often of what i was thinking or where i leave my belongings.  are their reasons behind this problem?

Not unusual: Seriously doubt you have dementia.  All of us get forgetful, at times, and the stress of daily life can be distracting.  Anxiety and depression, lack of sleep, and various medications can all make this worse.  Some pts with migraines get periodic cognitive issues, and epileptic partial seizures can do this also.  Best place to start: evaluate emotions and sleep.

i often forget things that i was just thinking about and then get headaches and nausea. is this a mental issue?

: Urge you deal with this head-on, and first find a psychiatrist. Consider starting with medication, if advised.  Subsequent options might include cognitive-behavioral therapy, biofeedback training, meditation, aerobic exercise, even acupuncture.

39 yr female, i take ziac, lipitor (atorvastatin) and adderall xr.  i seem to be experiencing more fuzzy thinking the last 3 or 4 months.  i walk in a room and forget what i am looking.  could this be meds?

Fuzzy thinking: Drugs, especially adderalxr could be responsible for your fuzzy thinking.. You should also make sure your electrolytes are in balance because of the diuretic you are on.

after years of abusing adderall, rarely sleeping some days, i started to experience short term memory loss. for example, thinking about a certain subject then within seconds ill forget what i was just thinking about. is there a way to remedy this?

: Lack of sleep can cause cognitive problems and this may well be the key answer.  But, your "abusing Adderall" needs to be addressed, and your physician should get involved in all of this.  You may require a full-scale rehabilitation program to solve all of this.  Proactive efforts will enhance your quality of life.

Get tested: you can get tested for ADHD any psychologist or psychiatrist and some time regular doctor could perform the test if you test positive your doctor can prescribed the right medicine for you do not try it on your own because every medicine could have a side effect and you want to have a doctor monitoring you while you are taking it good luck

Forgetful Memory: If you are starting to forget things, no matter what your age, you should bring it up with your doctor.  However, things you can do on your own to help this is simple memory, logic and puzzle games.  Things that will stimulate the mind and make you think will help deter memory loss!

New experiences: Experiencing new activities, especially those outside one's comfort zone, can encourage innovative thinking. Also, interacting with people with whom you might not normally meet or interact with can help this. Be open to listening to (even if not comfortable doing) other people's ideas.
