Arrange a visit: She needs to meet with either a primary care doc or OBGYN with experience in this area. After a review of her family and personal medical history and an exam, they can provide her with choices on what they recommend. A personal health review &amp; explanation of all pros/cons are needed for any such meds. They were initially developed to make menses regular.BC was a side effect.

Yes, but rare.: Blood clots are a rare side effect of BCP"s.  The chance is increased if you smoke or have a clotting disorder.  Still, bcp's are safer than risks of pregnancy!  Discuss the risk in your case, with your doc.

: Generally not. The pill is absorbed into your system where the hormones act directly to prevent egg release. Social drinking has no direct effect on the hormones effectiveness.

Don't bother.: Save your money.  There is no decent, independent study of sufficient size and quality to say that it will do anything for you, good or bad.  Any study has been on only a handful of subjects.  (less than 50 for the effect tested for). You make plenty of your own citrulline already. the daily BCPs. You just have to remember 
to get your shot every 3 months for consistency.

: Get checked for COVID, especially if you haven't had it before now and have not been vaccinated against it. Whether COVID or a common cold, it won't interfere with effectiveness of birth control pills.
