Depends on state law: Many state medical boards frown upon a doctor treating a patient who they have never seen or examined and for whom they have no health history (especially allergies), and it can be medicolegally risky to do so.  The safest approach is to have your partner contact his own physician.  You can always ask your gyn if, based on law in your own state, if they are comfortable doing so.

You can;t: Std's require vaginal and blood testing. Many are without symptoms and must  be treated to avoid serious medical problems now and in the future. Many states also require notification of any and all sexual partners as well to prevent spread of the disease.

Ureaplasma ?'s: "Ureaplasma" is a bacteria which is common in the urinary tract, and is not considered an STD.  Antibiotic therapy may be necessary if patient is symptomatic.

Why go ?????: If you don't respect the decision of the doctor to do what they consider best for your health needs, why go to that doctor or make demands on their time. If you are sexually active you can acquire STD's that can remain symptom free. They can still make you sterile if not found &amp; treated i time. If you have never had ANY  sexual encounter it would be reasonable.

hello doctors, i have vaginal burning but tested negative for sti and bv , my gyn gave me clindamicine ovule but no change. i have 3 months symptoms loosing hope?

: Never lose hope!. It is time to see a different reputable Gyn for you need a good exam and testing and proper diagnosis and treatment. Good luck.

42 y f g3p3 hx normal paps and neg hpv x 20 yrs. 1 abnormal pap as a teenager with neg hpv testing at that time. no hx of sti. went for routine gyn visit pap was neg but had parakeratosis in other findings neg hpv. no symptoms, no intravaginal fbs?

: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, this finding is not a cause for concern. Get repeat PAPs as advised by your doctor.    Wish you good health!

small peeled area on clitoris 1 y now. seen 3 gyn, negative for herpes and stis, tried antiviral ointment, blastoestimulina (healing +antibiotic) and vitamin e in spray, it doesn't heal, worse w/periods & sex, any suggestion please? so frustrating?
